Sometimes randomness plays into the ideas for my work. I bought a hummingbird feeder recently and put it outside my kitchen window. After a long wait, little hummingbirds started arriving and Charlie and I have been entertained while washing the dishes! So this is a painting about us watching hummingbirds.

I've got this need to paint dogs this summer so here is another one. You've never been on a great walk with a dog unless you've had arthritic Dixie tagging along with all her energy and heart trying to keep up with the crowd making the rounds in a pecan orchard! She's a little gray around the edges, but keeps wagging her tail.
Just back from about 3 weeks in the southeast and loved just about every minute...not sure I can adapt to the SC and GA heat the way I use to but had some great food and lovely opportunity to get to the beach, the lake, the country and the lowcountry ! Good to see family including all the furry members...Roscoe, Lady, Chamois, Sophie, Millie,Jasper, Dixie, Doc, Bella, Wilkes and Happy (among others). This painting of Happy who has the bluest of blue eyes and a very good life in Thomson, Ga.
